I did, this sunny weekend in South France. Up to Gourdon and then even further inland along the Route Nationale 85 towards Castellane. Roads dry and clear all the way. I was enjoying it so much that I went well above the snow line which was lower than normal from the mid week storms. After getting a little chilly I turned round and less than hour later and I'm on the coast road again and could see people sunbathing on the beach. Back in the garage, a quick wipe underneath and round the wheel rims and now put to bed. I’m kicking myself for not taking the camera.

Please share your December blats here from round the world.

I did at 10:00 this morning. Not for very long thou. The roads round here were very icey and not a joy so I went home :-(.

Yep, did 90 miles yesterday and 125 miles today through Oxfordshire and Berkshire's finest rural GLFs hehe It was bloomin' cold (no windscreen just the aeroscreen) and very slippery but that just made it more fun, especially with the LSD doing it's thing. And the car was satisfyingly filthy when I got back!

I've done late night London blats in the run up to Christmas a few times now. Can be surprisingly quiet, more so if Christmas Day falls on a Tuesday so everyone takes the Monday as holiday......Sunday night/Mnday morning can be real 28 Days Later motoring. Granted it's not a fast blat, but it's a great way to sightsee and London's a great place to be in the run p to Christmas.

Annoyingly no.

Had Friday off work and went over to see the Caterham in storage to do a few things.

Crisp, cold but dry day with beautiful clear blue skies.

Would have been the perfect time for a blat and now really see why people don't SORN over the winter when the odd day like that presents itself.

Had a run out to the Yorkshire Moors yesterday, wrapped up nicely! It was nearly a non starter when the throttle decided to stick and not return to idle very quickly. A bit of wd40 and fiddling with the cable sorted it and off we went. Pretty good weekend for it really, nothing silly just a steady(ish) run out with lots of clear roads!

I would love to get the car out but I don't really want salt and grit getting into everywhere on the underside of the car.

I've never kept a car long enough to worry about corrosion before, but the Caterham will be a special case!

Had a terrible few months. Decided to drive the Seven to work last week. Cue massive smiles from me and a queue of people stopping by my desk to talk to me about it. God I love that car.

For the past week, it has been a little below 16°C here, and raining! Supposed to clear up in the next day or so, and warm up a bit as well, so I may be back to this thread soon...

If the weather is dry and there isn't too much salt on the roads then I often take the car out through the winter. My favourite is going out on Christmas Day at around 11am. Anyone who is going anywhere has generally got there and so the roads are EMPTY. And I mean really empty. Three years ago I was out for 90 minutes and did not see another car on the road in either direction. I normally find one or two that need overtaking..

Just remember there is a lot less grip this time of year and to drive accordingly.

It's not December, but early morning New Years Day is another classic time for a deserted run. Watch out for farmers is all

You guys are seriously tempting me to get the car out before the new year...plans were to keep it tucked away until the weather warmed up!

Unless the roads have ice, snow or grit mine gets a run out almost every week. I try to choose a day when its been raining and washed the grit away. The car is better for it and so am I!!

Mine is currently covered in kingspan in the garage, the only thing I'll be blating in over the winter will have a roof screen four wheel drive and a heater. Call me a pussy if you like.........
