What do you mean "including helmet"? The picture appears to be of someone wearing a helmet and part of a full roll cage - was the head still in the helmet

Yes, because at times like these when one's car has been stolen, wisecracking dheads really are comforting and go a long way to help finding the car.

We don't even know what colour it is from this - only that it has a bright yellow roll cage.

Unfortunately I don't have that detail as that's all they have given on their fb page but I think it would be safe to say its a caterham racer number 18 possibly, the helmet was in the car. As far as I'm aware no head was removed or stolen during the robbery.

I'd hope all of us would question if such a car or parts of popped up for sale anywhere so as per my title I'm just spreading the word, if anyone comes across anything they can get in touch with the relevant people & hopefully the car will be recovered in one piece

Iuspect helmet was in a support car, support car stolen? Otherwise, it's the most Ruth Rendall style "let them have clues slowly" way to recover a stolen 7 I've ever seen!

I can't imagine it's the best car to steal... I'm sure the gangs in eastern Europe don't want them, and they're hardly going to be easy to re-plate in the UK!

I guess it would be just for parts?

Well this is getting silly. I understand the owner getting up set but give us some explanation and some decent photos. Also put on Blatchat as well, report to local press, make every effort you can. Often these items just turn up at your doorstep the next morning without explanation. Let hope so because you must be stupid dumb to circumvent such a vehicle in the first place!

Am I reading this wrong, or is this not just about the helmet that's been stolen along with the car it's been in. The FB post doesn't say it was in a Caterham.

Sounds to me like the [distinctive] helmet was in some random car that has been stolen, rather than the Caterham race car pictured. But a little clarity wouldn't go amiss...

Some guy posts about someones loss possibly gets it a little wrong, but the thought was there initially. Some of the above posts considering it was done out of good faith just go to show how many......... perfect people are on this forum!
