As they say, and now for something completely different! My VXR8 is sold and I have done a deal on a new SV with a 2.3. So that's a third of the engine capacity, half the horsepower and a quarter of the weight, so who says bigger is better?

I will get the new car in March, there are a few details to finish off and choices on such things as to bonnet stripe or not. I have no intention of restricting my use to weekends and intend to be using it whenever it is practical including commutes etc.

So roll on the 1st week of March and looking forward to both the car and getting up to speed on this forum!

If your into power it may be worth asking CC for a price to fit the 280hp 2.3 lump from Cossie rather than the 250 lump they fit as standard.

Well done, I'm sure you'll enjoy your car, let's hope the weather improves and we get a summer unlike this year!

Some of us SV owners just don't fit in a S3.
My 48"+ chest still pushes the door open on the SV.

Being a proud owner of an SV welcome to the ranks. All these skinny S3 owners are only jealous of our size.

Congratulations on getting the Slightly Vider, Superior Version wink

In my view a bonnet strip looks better than not on an SV; and I'll probably either add one to mine, or have one on the next SV.

It is car that was 95% complete, not yet road registered. It was in a two tone colour scheme, white and burnt orange. I decided to change to be burnt orange all over and I have gone for black nose ring and black side Caterham decals. The 2.3 is in 200 bhp spec, dry sump etc. It is on 13’s, 6" & 8", with 5 speed & LSD. Carbon dash with Stack. I was originally looking for a 2nd hand Sigma powered car but there are so few SV’s about it seemed too good an opportunity to pass. Just counting down the days now to delivery 1st week of March!
