Picked up my caterham and love it! Anyone else in Wiltshire?
Discussion
Picked up my first caterham on the 1st of January and it is defiantly the most fun you can have in a car!! Taken all my mates out, most having never even seen anything like it before, and they all loved it as well. Only bad bit is I am now looking at all the parts I want to buy for it and all the track days I want to do! First on the list will defiantly be a limited slip diff! Have one in my mx5 and I can really tell the caterham doesn't have one! Then I want to change to 13" wheels and a big brake kit then move onto power! also have an FIA bar on the way!
If anyone else is in Wiltshire and fancies a drive somewhere at the weekends I am always up for meeting up, looking for any excuse to drive it!!
I have already done 550 miles in 6 days so I can see the miles racking up! Few pictures of my car below, it is just a standard 1.6 k series!

Cheesy one of me just before I drove it home haha!!

Sounds like you have had fun.
There are two club meets in Wiltshire, Lotus Seven Club Area Meetings
I'm sure that you will find lot's of other Sevens in the area who are up for a blat.

I wouldn't be in such a hurry to change wheels, there nothing wrong with Yokohama a021s for road use and unless you get 70 profile tyres you'll loose ground clearance when you change to 13s. If you're going on track, a spare set of 13s with some track day tyres fitted would be a good idea

Looks to be in nice condition - hope you enjoy it.

Always up for a blat! I'm just north of Swindon but regularly travel south on to Salisbury Plain and round to Hungerford way. Drop me an email and we'll arrange to go out for a drive!
Will do! I live in a village in the middle of Salisbury plain! Near Devizes! Whisky7 said:

Am also Wiltshire way, down near Warminster - hopefully see you at the club meet.

Looks a great car. Out of interest what does it do with not having an LSD that you don't like?
Bert
Don't like the way it just spins one wheel when going around roundabouts or when pulling away. Also when the car begins to slide and then one wheel spins and the car begins to understeer! Can also do this with an LSD (me in my mx5 at Santa pod)Bert

I am already a member of the Lotus 7 Club! My dad has had 3 caterhams before so have been for a few years! Just need to find the pin code you need to sign up to the forum! http://www.lotussevenclub.com/LinkClick.aspx?filet...

If you can't find your pin code, a simple call to Sam at the office with membership number should sort it out.

It's an SV with a 2.3. A car that was part built but never put on the road. I was looking for an SV with Sigma power but this one came up and with so few SV's about it seemed too good an opportunity to let pass. Mine will not be a weekend car, I know the idea of using it as my daily drive will not be possible but I will use it whenever practical including commuting.
