13" Team Dynamics

First post so go easy!

Recently bought my first caterham last week, its a 2003 1.8 k series roadsport. Love the car so far, only driven it once with the bad weather.

The car was in decent condition when i bought it although the car isn't to my taste as it is. Its in the bodyshop at the moment, going from black to white with black stripes. While its been there I've been looking at a lot of 7's on the internet.

I love the look of the r500 with the multispoke wheels but whats peoples thoughts on the 13" team dynamics in gloss black? Not seen many 7's with these wheels at all.

Would 13" x 7 et25 fit all round?


Edit: i do know thats not a 7, its the only pic i could find with them on a car!

I'm lead to believe they're very light and are the top wheel for many kit car aficionados. I have intermittently hankered after a Raw Striker like the one above, and the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 is the best wheel offered by Raw Engineering as part of the standard kit. I think Caterham's own wheels may be a smidge lighter but it's not by much and you won't go far wrong with the Team Dynamics wheel, if that's what you're after. You'll get more precise info by posting over on the "Kit Cars" section on here though. Good luck.

If you haven't already, I would advice you to look at Caterhams own 13" wheels. Compared to other light weight wheels they provide a good compromise between price and weight, and the look very much the like once you linked.

Only trouble is that the paint job is usually not THAT good, so if you are into polishing they might not be for you

Thanks for the quick reply chaps, I have seen the caterham wheels and I do love them but it seems everyone and their dog has them, no doubt because they are a good wheel but I'm just after something a bit different. Plus these team dynamics are a fraction cheaper which helps as I am on a tight budget!

My question now I suppose is would they fit being an inch wider than caterhams own..

Fair enough
The 7" will fit on the back, as many run 8" there. But I don't know about the front.
In any case, if possibly I suggest that you try and test fit a set as the 13" can be and extremely tight fit. I have 1-2mm from the front calipers to the rims, and on the back I needed to remove a bit of the dedion tube to fit them.

Yeah that's my worry as the car has had a big brake upgrade, I know they will fit in the front arch it's just the offset and the brakes!

Mine is also with the big AP front breaks, so it is possible But there is not a lot to go on, so I think you need to get a hold of someone who have tried the exact same wheels on the same break setup to be 100% sure.
