My favourite is "Lotus and Caterham Sevens: A Collector's Guide" by Jeremy Coulter

I bought one in the eighties and still have it smile

It doesn't cover the later Caterhams, so your best bet is "Caterham Sevens: The Official Story of a Unique British Sportscar from Conception to CSR" by Chris Rees

not forgetting "The Magnificent 7", also by Chris Rees. The 2nd edition covers "all models" up to 2007 from the Series 1 Lotus 7 to the Sigma engined cars, including the very low production number ones like the Avon A and the Clubsport and finishing with a chapter on the Caterham 21. There's also "The Legend of the Lotus 7" by Dennis Ortenburger (if you can find a copy). Tony Wheale's book "Lotus Seven" is pretty good for restoration/working on the car too.

I got that for Christmas too. Have to say whilst it's full of facts it bored the hell out of me. Though to be fair I have little or no interest in the marque I just love driving the car.
