Just PX'd my one of a kind S3 R500 IRS (yes that's right independent rear suspension) for something with a roof and windscreen silly

If you're in the market for such a car this one off built at Caterham by their development engineer for himself must be worth serious consideration. May even become a collectors car?

Amazing traction, handling and comfort. I drove her cross country 230 miles from Manchester to Surrey with only one stop for fuel and a hot coffee (it was barely above freezing and there was ice all over the Leek Ashbourne road driving). Wish my new car did this MPG!!

Martin at Bramley was a great chap to deal with, but feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the car. I never tracked her BUT she'd definatley be faster around Oulton than any Fezza, Lamborghini, etc. with cheap running costs too.

Mods - I'm not associated with Bramley, the car is theirs and not a SOR.

Happy motoring

Ashley

Looked at this car before, fantastic spec and well worth the money for its exclusivity

Its a shame this wasn't offered as a factory option , more complexity i'm sure and maybe a bit more weight, but with parts shared with the CSR rear suspension surely not a great deal more to stock.

Stunning car, what did you change it for ?

It's not much heavier considering much bigger / wider wheels and tyres, 4 pots, etc

Think about 515kg

I've been told a R500D under 500 kg is a rare beast anyway ;-)

I've now got a R8, over 500bhp rather than 500bhp per ton
