R500 stock suspension - what's it worth?

Hi,
Some of you may have seen SpeedYellow's post about his road trip back to Gran Canaria, well he's left me his suspension in a box!
Stock R500 height adjustable Bilsteins, done 4k miles, with black Eibach springs (can post photos if anyone's interested).
Anyone have any idea what they're worth?

Would have thought around £240 for a full set. There are often sets up for sale on Ebay.

aero wishbones? what dampers?....all 4 corners?...rollbars?...was that other price for normal Caterham suspension?...there's a difference.....

I think you need a reality check!

New Genuine Caterham r500 bilsteins and eibach springs are over £1000 new.

I suspect that even on flea bay they will end up at about £500 for a set that are hardly used!,

Indeed, if one prices up R500 suspension parts, £240 doesn't buy you a lot

Its only the dampers that the OP has with the springs and platforms.

£240 is on the high side tbh. If I was offered it I would say yes without haggling.

These kits regularly go for less than £200 and often for £150 admittedly when the mileage is less of a known quantity.

Last year I had to replaced two damper/spring assemblies on my car and I would have jumped at the chance to get a whole set for £250. I had to buy new and paid over £500 for them. I haven't seen many (if any) R500 OE units on ebay. Second hand with a known history, IMHO, these are worth £500+ if you can wait for a buyer.

Hi had my set on here last year with TWO sets of springs at £ 375 didn't get sniff !

It was these http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_prod... ,and yes, they do seem to match the existing ones quite well.

I understood the Bilsteins where valved specifically for the R400D metric chassis (and I guess it is the same for the R500) and, after checking the build numbers, I was unable to source them elsewhere.

I suppose it is down to supply and demand, but if you can wait for someone to come along who is set on getting OE dampers then they may be willing to pay a premium.
