I have noticed my old white R500 is up for sale again.

The current owner has added some extra green stripes to the wings!

As he says they can be easily removed, might be a good thing!

I hope he has luck with the sale!

Well when I built it the green stripes were my choice as something different from the norm!

I did nick name the car the Pacer, but that was after the Mint sweets with then stripy green packet, and not the toothpaste!

As the AD says Nigel the stripes can be removed very easily in 20 minutes if not to taste.
The car also has carbon half doors and an improved exhaust since you built it I hope they meet with your approval....

The world would indeed be a sad place if we were all the same, I quite like it perhaps I am in the minority and that is why I put a
picture without the extra stickers on the AD too, plus your picture was of a far better quality than mine.. biggrin

Agreed Richard!

I am sure the Raceco exhaust made a big difference, it did when I had one in it too, but as you know I kept it when I sold the car.

I also had the half doors, but just the ordinary Caterham ones!

As you say each to their own, but I am sure you will find a buyer, as long as the weather I proves that is!

The only reason my photo was bette, was I used my big nikon DSLR, and it was a nice sunny day, so it looked good in white that day.

Good luck with the sale, I am sure you will be sad to see her go though!

I have spend a month designing stripes for my car in Illustrator. (I have my own vinyl cutter) Coming up with something original which is not overwhelming or tasteless is very very difficult. Getting it wrong (as has the new owner of your car Nigel)is very easy.

Vinyl stripes like this could be removed in 20 minutes, so long as you use a hairdryer and some adhesive remover. I took the stripes (copies of these) off my R300 before shipping it to Tony the brush.

Spoken by a man who knows just how wrong you can get it tongue out. Still, no one can say it wasn't memorable.
