Lightweight 13" wheels
Discussion
So if a set of MB R500 wheels were to be replaced today, what would people replace them with?
13" wheels only. Rims to take nothing more than a 215 or so tyre on the back, 185 or so on the front.
Only other stipulations are to keep the weight down and to probably avoid magnesium (car is used sparingly these days and I don't want the faff of crack testing).

What about Rial wheels : http://www.fluke-motorsport.co.uk/rial-challenge-1...

So could you have a set of MB wheels for sale at some time ? If so could i have first refusal please ?
I still think standard eight spokes look as good as anything out there, Otherwise CXR are nice as are Force as well
I'll probably keep them as a second set for track days, and stick some slicks on them tbh.I still think standard eight spokes look as good as anything out there, Otherwise CXR are nice as are Force as well
Need to get them crack tested and painted, and the roads were I live are a little pot holed at the minute. So trading off a little lightness for strength would probably be wise. Not that I get out in the car much at the moment.
If I change my mind, you have first dibs.

All good options. Will have a think in time for getting the car back on the road.I still think standard eight spokes look as good as anything out there, Otherwise CXR are nice as are Force as well
I have purchased a set of http://www.meteormotorsport.com/suspension/wheels/...
They have the standard Force Racing centers machined to suit the Caterham offsets. Same weight as my old MB's and no crack testing.

Ta.
Will add them to the list of people to talk to.
It's him not them. Will add them to the list of people to talk to.
Very helpfull, and bent over backwards to accomodate my difficult request. I ended up havind totaly bespoke centers to accomodate my brake setup and calliper offset.
He was the only Guy who was willing to put himself out to help.
All the other wheel manufacturers lost interest as soon as I needed something not off the shelf.
When you see them for real they are a thing of Beauty. I like giving them to people, and watching their face as they expect to take the weight.

But let's not forget, the OP asked what would you replace MB's with, which are a modular wheel.
Revolution, or Minilights are available as a modular wheel, but I don't think those particular Compomotives are. But they are very light.
I think you need to be specific in what you're after. Magnesium or aluminium? which the Op has stated, so that narrows it down to aluminium, modular or one piece? billet or cast?
