Thundersport Half Hood fitting photos

Feel some what dumb asking this but looking for a bit of clarity on fitting the Thundersport half hood. It is of course a piece of cake but the side straps I'm struggling with and doesn't help that I've misplaced the instructions.
My understanding was the side straps will be bolted to the bulk head but I don't have any bolts. It's been confused further by speaking to someone, who was less than helpful, at Thundersport. They suggested it went around the poppers or maybe under the rollcage. Shame because they've given me excellent service in the past but I was obviously unlucky in getting someone who seemed to know nothing about the half hood.
Does anyone have any photos of the fitment of the side straps? Would help me a lot!

They are normally attached by a small bolt which goes through the base of an FIA bar and into the small hole adjacent to the top seat belt mount. This hole is close to the holes into which the FIA bar locates and is a 5/16 UNF I think. On a metric chassis its likely to be M6.
If you have a cage or a non FIA bar however, you may be in a bit of bother as these have a flange which covers the bolt hole. I have this problem but we found attaching the side straps to the hood stick tabs on the chassis works perfectly. (I have no hood, only a half hood, but I think it would still work if you do have hoodsticks.

Yep it's a Caged full cage on an 2004 chassis - which I think makes it imperial.
You're right the base of the cage does have a flange that slightly fouls the bolt hole. The hood stick tabs are an option I guess but wonder if they might rattle a bit when not in use. There is the bolt hole that secures the top part of the drivers side impact bar. If that bolt is small enough that would do it.

I bought the Thundersport half hood a couple of months back.
With the rear straps, I used to plastic to hold them tight under the FIA bar attachments, but they aren't actually screwed in since the plastic bit is too large to pass through, so they happily just stay there.
With the side ones, I attached them to the hood sticks ears. No vibrating or rattling.
I'll try and get some photos tomorrow if they'll be any use?

When did you buy your half hood? I was only in there 2 weeks ago for mine, and they had to make a pattern for mine (imperial chassis/metric cage.

Thanks the photos would be of use if you could. Ok, so I've taken a few photos..
They show how I've attached the straps. You'll have to pretend the cable ties are are a screw on the hood sticks ear, since I took them off last week and haven't found another screw narrow enough yet to put on there.
Hopefully this will help a bit!

You can see I've just bunched up the plastic clip at the end and then removed the clip, passed it through the bar and put the clip back on. It's too big to slip through the roll bar attachment, so doesn't need a bolt to hold it in.

Thats quite interesting. I have a half hood made by Soft Bits for Sevens, and the side connections attach to the rear most popper on the boot cover. Upon tightening, it's not uncommon for these poppers to pop off. Where do your straps mount from and can you put the hood on with all of the boots poppers poppered up?
Have a look at my other photos, they're attached to the ear for the hood sticks (with cable ties at the moment since I didn't have a bolt that fitted!).
Nothing attaches to the poppers and they boot can be done all the way up.
EDIT: Just to note, you can have them attached with the hood sticks fitted, I've just decided to remove them since I don't intend on using them again.

As always finding time at the weekend takes a little bit longer than you think.
But it turns out I can just about fit the 5/16 bolts into the holes just behind the Caged full cage. Used a spring washer underneath to make it work.
Hmm... might need to get the cage repainted this winter.
