Speedo code for tyre change

Hello all

I've just moved from Avon CR500 to Yokohama A048R tyres and need the speedo code to suit. I've gone from 175/55 R13 to 185/60 R13.

Is there anyone here who knows the right code?

For reference, the code supplied by Caterham is 040650.

Bradders - don't know yet! Just put them on the car and getting a set-up done tomorrow. Track for the first time on Saturday so can let you know after if you like. I've heard, they'll give you a faster lap and are a bit cheaper than CR500 but I'm also interested in their longevity and ability to stand repeated heat cycles...

Bradders - just for you.

Went out in three 30 minute sessions today at Rockingham. The Yoko tyres are very grippy, right from the off. They are very good accelerating through corners - I noticed the need for an LSD for the first time... I came in after session one and found them to be over pressure (recommendation I got was for 22psi) which explains why I was sliding a bit through corners - it was fun but not great for a lap time...

Equally, each session felt pretty good - I didn't notice any performance drop-off which I have felt on Avons. I need to do a couple more days to see how heat cycles affect them.

You'll need a decent set-up as the tyre is bigger but having had a set-up done, it doesn't seem to affect the overall weight of the car much.

So, on first impressions, very impressed. Need to do a couple more track sessions to understand their longevity.

Hope this helps a bit. Note I'm warned they're not too great in the wet but left before I got to find out...
