Oil Pressure Sender

Does anyone know if the oil pressure sender on a 1999 Superlight is a generic part or Caterham specific. Mine got damaged last week with a stray brick in the middle of the road and Caterham are out of stock. If generic, where can I get one?

Not sure if it is an off the shelf item, so can't help you there. But if you end up having to order a new sender online, it might be worth changing tack and changing to a mechanical oil pressure setup. The pipe, adapter and gauge costs about the same if not slightly cheaper than a new electrical oil pressure sender from Caterham, ~£40 if I remember from when I did it.

The electrical senders tend to fail with use due, so many turn to a mechanical setup for a more accurate reading and better life expectancy.

+1 for the mechanical. More accurate and more reliable, cheaper than a new sender.
