Leaking brake master cylinder cap

Just collected my 'new' R300 and I've noticed the (AP) cap is leaking slightly.

Apparently this is fairly common on Caterhams.

Any tips or remedies, or does it simply need replacing?

I have the uprated one and it leaks occasionally on trackdays. Only very slightly, like 2 or three drops.

I've bought a replacement cap but I've yet to fit it as it seems to be ok at the moment. I'll see what it's like next time I'm on track and replace if it's still leaking.

Yes fit the uprated AP M/C cap. My standard cap was leaking so I fitted the uprated one for a track day last weekend and not a single drop of fluid leaked.

But thinking again after I shot from the hip, that's not gonna fit a std reservoir is it... So forget I mentioned it - good idea for remote reservoirs though ;-)

Not that one. You want this one which has no float switch:

This fits the standard M/C and the upgraded M/C as far as I understand.

For now, I've fitted a thin rubber O'ring and that seems to have improved things.

However, I think I'd like a correct permanent solution - so, are you saying by getting that cap (and yes, mine does look like that) then it should stop the slight leak?
