After a lengthy search, I've finally found a Roadsport that's right for the needs of me and my boy.
2009 Sigma 1.6 125bhp from the fine gentlemen at Millwood Motor Co.
When I met it, the odometer read 917 miles!
A couple of jobs to do on it, seat swap, harness fitting etc. I'm hoping to collect it before the end of the month.

I feel a little bit giddy.

Congratulations, nice looking Seven smile

917 miles since 2009! I've put 12,000 on my Roadsport 125 since 2011.
The 125 is brilliant fun. I'd get Caterham to check there is enough grease in the front wheel bearings, mine have just failed, because the person assembled them didn't put much in.

Oh and swap to Yokohama a021r tyres, they're much better than the Avons and yours are getting a bit old as well.

Have fun smile

Looks lovely!

Bet you can't wait to collect it!

Ha, for comparison, mine is an 09 and has 16,000 miles on it. It was on 11k when I bought it last winter.

Good work buying from Millwood, too. I've had nothing but the best of service since buying from Jon just over a year ago clap

Enjoy when arrival day comes.

Caterham Yellow is the best colour of course - looks very nice!

Also very strongly recommend you budget for a Yoko A021 tyre swap. On cold wet roads those Avons are an unpredictable liability.

Congratulations.
My home built 125 sigma is now approaching 24K miles & hasn't missed a beat. Still love it.
Enjoy the pops & bangs on the overrun. A 125 speciality.

No, Muppet's Mate. I still have the blue car, so the name is still valid. Besides HW09AVC isn't much of a monicker, is it?

Thanks everyone for the positive thoughts. Yes, I accept the fitted tyres are little more than liquorice, but I'll use them as a limiter while I get a feel for the car. I may as well live with these for a while so when I get some proper ones, I'll appreciate the difference. Also, I'm such a flippin' tightwad, it would hurt to dispose of a set of tyres that have done less than a thousand miles without fluffing them up a little.

Great looking.
I'm new to Caterhams so please forgive me. You say you're having a seat swop, can I ask what seats are best for a 7?

It's down to personal preference. Some prefer the Tillets while others like the padded leather/cloth seats. Caterham now also offer a new "GT" seat which looks like a Tillet with some padding.

The Tillets seem to be a prefered option for taller people as they're thinner and allow you to fit lower in the car. I'm a bit of a shorty and I find the standard leather seats very comfortable. They hold me in well on track, and they're comfortable for long road trips.

Carphotographer, the car originally had cloth seats and inertia reel seatbelts. The cloth seats are comfortable enough and would probably stand more scrubbing, but I prefer the look of leather. So, while the seats are out, I'm having four point quick release harnesses fitted. Not only are they safer, I like the added sense of occasion they give to the experience. I tried my bum in Tillet seats and was impressed by how well they fitted me, but this will be primarily a road orientated car and I want the wife to be comfy.
I drove a Seven at CC Midland with the latest GT seats and they are very stylish, comfortable and supportive, but a little beyond my budget.
