Which car cover?

I've been researching into a decent car cover for the new 7. I have a shower cap already for short term coverage while out and about, but I also wanted something to use while tucked up in the garage and also to take touring for the odd weekend away too. I have come across these two:

Has anyone tried these and could recommend one or the other, or are there any others worth considering? Is it worth spending a bit more to get a fully 'waterproof' cover rather than water 'resistant' as the two above?

I use a long nose shower cap to cover the car when we're touring. I like the way it covers the bonnet flutes as well as the cabin.
Otherwise we keep the car under a Stormforce cover in the garage. It did live outside for a week before enough space was cleared for it! Really nice fit but it you're intending to take it touring it's quite bulky - I'd stick with the shower cap instead.

The material is very strong but the securing straps are not well secured to the cover. In addition the breathable capabilities I'm not so sure on.
Having previously recommended the Stormforce after a year of ownership I'm not sure I can anymore. For a month during the recent rain the Caterham was outside under a Stormforce cover.
Every weekend I'd lift to take a look. Pools of water on the tonneau cover and condensation on the bonnet. I got into a routine of hanging up the cover and allowing the car to breathe every weekend when it was dry.
When pulling the securing straps to tighten the cover around the car the strap came away from the hem. Looking at the other strap and how it was secured to the cover it didn't surprise me. A single row of stitching isn't sufficient.
Two things have annoyed me since purchase. One is the back of the cover isn't quite high enough for a full cage and two there is nothing at the rear of the cover to secure it therefore it often rides up.
For an indoor car cover on car without a full cage and where securing the cover isn't an issue I'd say it's excellent. For outdoors? Not convinced. Maybe very occasional outdoor usage but certainly not weeks.
