Help identify this radiator

After only an hour's ownership my new toy's radiator decided to start leaking. I think it's a Radtec Extreme but not sure, have a look. It has a small yellow button attached to the core and has "15" stamped on it.

Mounting holes are elongated whereas the Radtec site clearly show round holes.

The same rad as I have although mine is mounted upside down to yours and the same dry sump tank but mines in the back!!!

It's a Caterham C400 rad - [e-mail] has a couple.

^^yep same as what my car has fitted although my fan is fitted on the rear, think I would be tempted to move it while you have it off if there is room behind the rad.

Thanks all, yep it's defo a C400 having looked at the Caterham website. The anti roll bar is inboard and behind the rad, hence the fan being mounted on the outside of the rad.
Car has inboard suspension, so anti roll bar is quite short but would foul the rad fan motor.

Mike - My car was provided with the rad offset with washers to provide space adequate for a "puller" fan on the back side of the rad. Works just fine.

Aha, thanks Sean, I might try that when I put the new one on.

Is yours fitted with an adjustable front anti roll bar too? Any chance of a photo?

It was, but my ARB has broken recently, so has been removed. I had it welded back together, but the two ends were no longer concentric after welding despite best efforts. Oh well. Simply removed it, and the car still drives well enough.

This is the same rad fitted in my freestyle 7, as you can see the car does not have an anti roll bar fitted, when I researched apparently not needed with inboard suspension.

I've also read that somewhere, interesting. Might think about taking the ARB off and mounting the fan behind the rad. Have you used yours on track and if so, did you not notice the absence of an ARB at all?

If you have a choice of replacement radiator then I would get a radtec rather than the caterham one.ive had two caterham ones and they both leaked at the top corner ( the side that the top hose goes into)

Standard rad will be fine. This one has the triple bypass to overcome issues when racing 2" from the car in front. The std one cooled my pig iron VX just fine, so will be fine with a turkey foil blocked Duratec.

Located a photo of the rad, with the fan and ARB just barely visible, but still showing it will fit. After this photo was taken (and before the ARB fractured), I swapped out the 9" SPAL puller fan that came with the car for a 12" SPAL puller. This required adding 2 or 3 more washers between the bobbin and mounting flange, but it all fit easily.
