So, should the worst happen, lots of us already have room bookings, anyone fancy going anyway and just booking a large table for dinner?

Black tie or not?

I'd far rather it went ahead, but given that we've booked a non-refundable room then we'll be there come what may.

If you have booked the room on credit card and the event you plan to goto is cancelled then you can try and make a claim under Section 75 of the consumer credit act. If Debit Card, via the chargeback scheme

Ticket sales peaked at 21 frown

Loss to us is IRO £8k but I hope to get that down to £4k-ish on Monday. Really sorry about this, the event is (was) all set up but it's a huge loss with any less than 120 guests. It's good thar BTaP is non-profit, but it does mean we rely on sales and sponsors to make it happen.

Gutted. I really am.

We'll be back in 14, stronger and fitter.

It is really sad. And hope PH can claw some of the funds back.

As I mentioned though, would anyone still be interested in a non-PH get together, as some of us already have rooms (refunded or not).

That's a shame - not that I was going anyway.

Any plans on bringing back Pistonfest?

I'd certainly be up for just going and having a drink and dinner anyway, in black tie for a laugh. So how many of us does that make it that want to go and have our event come what may?

We'll be there, certainly up for a group dinner on the Saturday night.
