Could a vauxhall astra with 150k on the clock petrol still be a reliable run about?

Yes, of course. All depends if it's been looked after. Regular oil changes are always key on any car. Clutch, if original, will be on its last legs but otherwise I'd drive it.

Thanks not sure on the clutch underneath looked ok no real rust issues that I could see. Is there a way of testing the clutch when test drive is an 6 speed gear box. It's petrol but says turbo on it

So I think this makes it the M32 gear box which isn't reliable?

That year Astra are we talking? My wife's 2017 is going strong at 120k, and my 1990 is going well on 187k but they are very different cars which would warrant different advice.
Also had a 2007 which I took over 200k with minimal problems.
