I've not played one for a very long time so I have no idea where to start looking. I'm not looking for arcade style stuff.

Cheers smile

Check out the DCS series. You can get the A-10C, the Russian Ka-50 helicopter and a few other planes if you get the Flaming Cliffs 3 addon for DCS. They're modular so can you fly whatever takes your fancy.

Also worth a look IMO is get yourself Falcon 4.0 off eBay and download the BMS add-on which brings it pretty much up to date in terms of graphics, realism etc. The main aircraft in that one is the F-16 but I gather you can fly other stuff too. If you want realism then that's as good as it gets I'd say.

You also get dynamic campaigns in F4.0/BMS which you don't in DCS (campaigns in DCS are scripted but you can build your own or download more).

Holy crap! I never knew they had released a P 51 sim.
Just need a new PC for it now

If you want to go civvy,FSX is probably the best.

Why limit yourself? Fly to the planets, for free, with Orbiter.

Warning! You may well end up divorced, it is that much of a thief of time.
