Identify dos game from 90s - space game

I am trying to recall the name of a dos game that I had back in the 90s.

Black screen (it's in space of course) and he screen rolla upwards and you shoot the alien spaceships that appear. As you progress, the alien ships get bigger. You had to shoot their weapons to destroy them (which explode whe you are successful). The alien spaceship was all gold/brown coloured.

Anyk e any ideas on the name? I will know it when I hear it of course!

And that soundtrack by Bomb The Bass, crikey that really does take me back I remember watching a uni mate playing that game on his Amiga in our student digs (that and Speedball 2). I wanted an Amiga SO much at that point in time ...
