Co Pilot says that lot separatly is a £9k build. I guess it depends on how much you will use it. I would love to get a rig but there is no chance it would be allowed in the house, so I have to make do with my current setup which works fine.

If you have the space for a dedicated rig and PC, it's worth considering getting a VR setup too.

I'm someone who used to have a lower end set-up for his Playstation, and at Christmas decided it was time to get more into 'proper' sim racing.

It started with a decent PC, and ended up with a new rig, wheels, pedals, and various other bits. I reckon my total setup now cost between £9000 and £10,000. Decent sim racing gear is not cheap

On that basis, I would say what is being offered to you there is a very good deal IF you think you're likely to end up down the rabbit hole of getting that sort of equipment in the end anyway. "Buy once, cry once" as they say.

In reality, I also imagine you'd lose very little money if you ended up selling all that on in the future anyway.

I'm actually also trying to decide whether to sell my old equipment as a bundle or list everything separately. Not sure what would be easiest.

Spec is pretty sophisticated and expensive as others have noted and good value.

Why are they selling though? (assuming just getting out of racing)

Needs the cash to fix his actual drift race car.

I did spend time today looking at what it'd cost to build the pc alone, that came in at circa £2.6k, so i've done a deal and am now in the rabbit hole!

^Congrats, post some pictures once it arrives. I would love a dedicated setup, but zero chance the rest of the family would agree. Still, sim racing games really seem to have progressed in the last few years, I'm still not sure how 'real' they are, but they seem to have got the balance between fun/challenge/reward right.
