What do you need for a Wii

Okay, i'm toying with getting a Wii...
but I keep hearing about numchucks and stuff...
I'd basically want it for a laugh with the missues or mates, so I'd want 2 controllers (assuming you can have split screen games?) and cant really see anything other than Wii Sports and Resident Evil being played on it...
So, would the standard controller x2 do it? or is it worth getting these numchucks? or one of each?

The nunchuck is needed for stuff like Wii Sports boxing, so I reckon you need two of those, plus 2 wiimotes.
Then give a thought to batteries - I've bought a wiimote docking station that charges the batteries via USB - you can get ones that does two wiimotes, budget about £20 for this.
That's one of the things people tend to forget - the wii seems so much cheaper until you consider that to really enjoy it you need 2x controllers and 2x nunchucks which does add a fair bit to the cost!

As steve said you get one Wiimote and one nunchuk in the box.
If you buy Wii Play (here- http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=11449&a... you get a disc of minigames and a Wii mote (which is approx £30 on it's own anyway) and then buy a nunchuk controller for £15 and you have two complete sets of controllers
Yeah the nunchuk plugs in at the bottom of the wiimote, is powered off the wiimote too, think of it as the left control stick and top left two buttons on your 360 pad and that's it, it also has motion sensitivity built in, so it will act as the second hand in Wiisports boxing for example, you usually hold it in your left hand and the control stick on it is used for movement.
