Okay, after a little bit of Achievement whoring, I have just gotten the 'all cars' achivement, which means I have 300 cars worth a cool $45,000,000+ but no cash wink

So, I need to empty out the garage to focus on the cars I want - so in a bout of generosity (inspired by CivPilot) I have chosen to give away* or sell at the computer buy price.

.* there are a couple of points here, firstly I wont give a car to anyone not currently on my friends list, so dont pop up saying "enzo please" when I dont know you.
Secondly, I'm only getting rid of the cars I dont want, so sorry, but No Enzo's, Mac F1's are going, sorry.

But anyway, I will be giving away some cars, (I have already started), it cant hurt to ask, so anyone can post up what car they want.

If its something I dont want to sell, sorry.

If you are on my friends list and I'm feeling generous (or its not too pricey) I will gift it straight to you.

For everything else, what I will do is put it on the auction - with a buyout price AT THE PRICE THE COMPUTER WOULD GIVE ME. So, for instance, a £300,000 race car, which I could get £175,000 for from the computer, I will sell to you for £175,000.
This is going to be a little tricky - but the deal will be we agree a specific time it will go up, non-featured, with the buyout - you keep your eyes open, the moment it appears snatch it up!
If you miss it, then its 'sorry' wink

So anyway, onto the fun bit:

CivPilot: Gifted McLaren F1 R2 Race Car
Y2Blade: Gifted Audi R8 R1 Race Car
Gridlinked: Gifted Porsche 997 GT3 Race Car
HD VTi: Gifted '68 Cuda
Alterzia: Bought Konisegg

Very good of you old chap.

I'm quite happily hacking through the game in my limited spare time. The only thing I'd like would be a 997GT3 for the PH fleet, as I don't have enough cash to justify buying one just yet.

Dare I ask what level you're at these days?

hope a '68 Cuda is okay smile

I've put a bunch of racecars on auction as i'm down to less than 10k in the bank, so hopefully i'll be able to sell a few at 'cost' at least...

If you absolutely must get rid of one, and you don't want the Bentley R1 car or the Peugeot 905, you could send one of them my way.

oh, a little tip I just discovered.

When you max out your discount (50%) it changes regions with you - but doesnt effect the sell (to the computer) price.

This means, once your at this level, you can sell cars to the computer for what you paid for them! (assuming you bought them in your home region)

nah, that ones on the house...

But if you want me to source you anything else, I'm on the North America at the moment, so can get you them and pass them on (with 50% discount) through the Auction if you want?

I don't suppose you have a spar M3 GTR hanging around have you?

I've not fired up Forza for a bit (Darkness getting in the way) so I don't know what price these are going for (Race or road spec)

Or a handy GT3 RSR?!?

I say old chap, that really is terribly kind of you.
One small question. After taking it out for a quick spin, is it really supposed to go that sideways round *every* corner?

wink

absolutley wink

Actually, the key to driving the 911's (both in forza and real life) is to brake in the straight line.

I'm willing to bet you brake hard before the corner, but hold 1/2 brake as you turn in - this destabalises the car, and means you cant get the power down without sideways action.

Try braking all before the bend in a straight line, turn for the apex and gradually apply throttle as you go through the bend, you can usually go up to full throttle about 75% through the corner (depending on corner).

Yup, that's pretty much what I'm doing. Have been driving 4wd and mid engined cars mostly, so a touch of brakes on turn in helps the front tyres out. Apparently I need to learn to drive rear engined cars also..

yeah, I had the same problem - front engined and 4WD cars tend to benifit from this - with the Porks (and the high power RWD cars) it means you go around corners steering through the side window wink
