Connecting component leads etc-HELP

Not being very technically minded I'm after some help.

I have a Sony 40W2000 and have a PS3 connected to the HDMI slot & an Xbox 360 connected by the HD component AV cable (the one with 6 plugs). All this was fine until I got a Wii which needs to be connected the same way as the 360. As the TV unit is in the corner of the room I need to pull the whole lot out to swap between the 360 & Wii. Is there anyway round this? If I get an Xbox VGA AV cable will I lose some quality over the component cable?

Is there such as thing as a component splitter box?

There is indeed component splitter boxes, a quick google will reveal all.
I've got an HDMI/optical splitter and its rather useful!

A few guys on here have said the VGA HD cable on the 360 gives a slightly better picture then the component leads, I should be able to confirm or denounce this theory later as I picked up the VGA cable today when I got bioshock

I (and a 360 owning friend) found I got a better picture, but the colours were duller. The last update added reference levels(?) to the settings menu and selecting Extended seemed to go a long way to correcting it, but not 100%. My friend just got an Elite this morning and says its HDMI output gives the picture of VGA with the colours of component.

I use the VGA on the 360.

Just use the scart for the Wii? That's what I plan to do when the Nipper gets one.

How will the quality compare to the component lead?

The wii doesn't output in HD anyway so I can't see it making much difference.

I'm unsure on my 360 VGA cable. The colours are definately a bit more wishy washy, but I'm not sure the picture is any sharper. If anything it looks a little fuzzy. Am yet to try playing a game to see the difference in that, but based on first impressions so far I'll be swapping cables back to the component.

So how was it? Any better than the component lead?

Wii was fine on the yellow composite wire when I tried it at the weekend.

It's not ubergraphicstastic.

Xbox 360 VGA with the update lets you increase the colour saturation. I'm happy with it, but I don't have any choice, really.
