Hi

I'm thinking of getting rid of the wii and getting an xbox 360 but just needed a bit of advice. I'm not looking to go online, just need a pack with the main wire to the tele and the plug and a controller. Will the cheapest core system be ok, or will i be better off getting the £250 pack or the new black pack?

Whats the deal with the 3 red lights thing i've heard about?

Does it matter what sort of size hard-driv i get?

thanks

Best way to future proof is to go for the Elite with the hdmi and the 120gb HD.

Don't know whether you will be using Live and downloads, etc.. but HD film/TV progs are on there way to Europe, and if you wanna take part, you will need the drive.

They just released 300 in HD in the states, and IIRC, that alone is just under 6gb, so our little UK 20gb HD's really won't cut the mustard.

Whatever you want it for, I recommend against the core as the premium/Elite will have all you need for it. Core has no HD, no mic for Live and no wireless pad.

There are 4 green lights around the power button to denote which controllers are in use, and if/when they turn red, the next and only game you will be playing is the Microsoft/UPS challenge rofl

Wot he said. Personally, I'd only be interested in the Elite if I planned on downloading things to keep. I down load demos/trailers and then delete them straight after.

HDMI...? It's certainly easier than the component/digital cable combo for the white V1, but it's no "better"

So it's Premuim or Elite I'd say. The Core is as useful as a swift kick in the goolies.

Thanks

Will probably go for the premium package then. Cant see me playing on line or downloading as i dont have a phone line. Pretty much purely for games. Is there anything else i should be aware of?

Yeah, get a phone line. Live is a very funny experience when you're playing with like minded people. Definitely worth the broadband rental and £30 a year subs.

Seriously, you'd be missing out on the Gears of War/Halo 3 experience, as as good as the single player games are, the real fun's in the multiplayers.

PS: Prior to live, I've never played online.
