I need a widescreen monitor to run my 360 through

I'm looking for a 22"-24" monitor and 2-5ms response time. The type of thing I'm looking at is about £250. That's the sort of budget I was thinking about. Preferably with some built in speakers.

However, richersounds.com have two 26" HD ready LCD with an 8ms response time. Can anyone advise me if that will still give me a crisp and ghost free game play with my 360? Here's a links to the TV's:

The Philips is shown as having a 16ms response time, which I personally think is too high for gaming. It's also pretty limited in terms of connectivity - only one Scart socket, no HDMI socket.

The LG looks a better bet. Have you considered the Samsung screens at all?

I recently bought a 23" Samsung HDTV (the LE23R87, I think) to do dual duty as Xbox 360 gaming TV and monitor for my PC. A bit more than your proposed budget (cheapest I found it was around £350) but I've been very pleased with it.

Samsungs look ok actually, but I was trying to keep the money down as it'll be a third TV in the house (for the study/office which will 90% of the time be used for my 360. And I was thinking 26" was a reasonable step up in size from 23" and for £299 appeared a good deal?

Hmm, which Philips did you mean when you say it has a 16ms response time?

I have the Philips 23PFL5522D which is a superb screen and it has a 8ms response time. My 360 games look glorious on it!
