Racing wheel - Yes or No?

Thinking about getting a racing wheel but having a chat with my brother-in-law, who is really into his racing games - much more than I am or ever will be, reckons that racing wheels are a waste of money and that sticking with the simple console controller is the way to go.

Depends on budget really, i've only ever tried cheap wheels, and from my experience i'd have to agree with him, but I know people and there are people on here who have spent £150+ on a wheel, pedal box, seat etc and they swear by it. I think if your going to do it, budget apppropriately and go the whole hog.
