Has anybody modded their 360 to play their back up games? I have a "habit" of losing games you see and would like to be able to copy them just incase?

Modded Xbox's generally can not go back onto Xbox live again, unless its a 'stealth' mod, but you would still need the game for live.

Not worth the hassle IMO, buy it again and be more careful! Invest in DVD storage.

This is I bought warranty with argos for 3 years. No way are they going to be taking them apart as they will just replace

There are very few people on here that have a chipped 360, so you're not likely to find much advice other than don't do it.

I got my original XBox chipped and forgot to turn the chip off once when I went on Live, I then had to buy a 2nd XBox as they'd locked the original one out of playing online.

Oh dear thats a bit gay - alledgedly a flash on the drive is undetected from live as it is not broadcasting info as basically it is just a drive

I think I have the competance to flash - seems easy enough

few exe's sata cable and I am away - obv a bit more in depth but you get the jist

according to the folks who developed the dvd flash software M$ are able to detect who has flashed the drive by monitoring the drives speed.

The flashed drive is a few ms faster than normal and will return different times.

i have seen some people make conectors out the back of the xbox for easy re flashing...

i really dont think ms will be able to ban you from your DVD drive running millisecond faster than average

Scotty - got to say fella, that this sounds like the most poorly veiled attempt to run or copy pirate software.

There's plenty of info on the web if you're determined to do it.

As said, you risk a Live ban if you do - your call, but keep it off PH please.
