This is a chance to tell everyone what your top five games of all time are ... Also, maybe add a small description as to why the game rates so highly with you. Don't just think about graphics - What games have grabbed you and held your interest for many, many hours? Mine, in order, are:

1. Half Life 2
2. Forza 2
3. Scarface
4. Call of Duty 2
5. Sonic 3

I can't think exactly. But one of them would have to be Gran Turismo 4. At the time, the graphics looked absolutely stunning.

Oh and Black as well. Upped the textures slightly on that and it could have been on the X360.

1. Sonic The Hedgehog
2. Goldeneye
3. Civilisation 2
4. Halo
5. Shogun Total War

All of which were very revolutionary.

Halo 3 may be a better game than Halo, but it is an evolution rather than a revolution.

In a similar fashion The latest Total War game is a massive improvement over the original. But it was that initial idea which was genuis.

1. GTA: San Andreas.

Was simply an epic game with so much going for it, only game that is likely to knock this off the top spot is GTA4.

2. Oblivion.

For similar reasons to GTA, so much to do and the fact it looked fantastic didn't hurt. Kept me glued to the 360 for 2 weeks and meant that natural light hurt my eyes.

3. Streetfigher Alpha 2.

For me Streetfighter peaked here, enough depth with the alpha counters, 3-tiered super moves and characters without going totally overboard with ridiculous moves or losing half the original cast and replacing them with soulless stand-ins.

4. Project Gotham Racing 2.

Chasing the platinums in this became a life-goal at the time, as soon as i'd done one that I had seen as impossible I told myself that I could do them all. Sure enough I did about a month later. Was also the first time that I had raced online with anyone in any game and it was so easy to do.

5. Unreal Tournament 2003.

Deathmatch in it's purest form, the greatest weapons (self-steered nuclear warhead anyone?) and unrivalled speed of play (instagib shock rifles was a twitch-fest of epic proportions, that never failed to get the adrenaline going). Also featured some of the greatest deathmatch maps on any FPS ever.

Ask me again in a weeks time and half of them could be changed though, Zelda: OOT just missed out, as did Thief and Saturn Bomberman.

1. GTA Vice City - PS2 - The mix of gameplay and music was just about perfect.

2. Oblivion - X360 - GTA set in Middle Earth, still the best game on the 360.

3. Forza 2 - X360 - Best racing game ever.

4. Metal Gear Solid - PSone - Much better than the two on the PS2.

5. Zelda, Occarina of time - N64 - Just brilliant.

1. Action Quake 2 (PC)
Quake 2 mod made by the guys who created Counter Strike, I played it constantly for 2+ years and was one of the best players around. Fantastic team game and one of the first to introduce proper realism (ie. Single shot 'headshot' deaths)

2. Sensible Soccer (Amiga/CD32)
Loved this game, used to spend hours playing it, so simple and so fun. Cant wait for SWOS on XBox live!

3. Half Life series (PC)
Brilliant Games, Im currently playing HL2 after finally upgrading my PC to a worthy level.

4. GTA (PC)
Loved the original game, great idea and loved the freedom you had, Multiplayer Deathmatch was great fun.

5. Quake
Got me into on-line gaming. Simple and great fun.

Only 5? lol

In no Partiucular Order:

  • Doom - PC
  • Need For Speed - 3DO
  • Unreal - PC
  • Gran Turismo - PlayStation
  • GoldenEye - N64
All had massive re-playability and seemd to last for ages smile

Also a few great games that were not quite as iconic (or maybe they would be on another day nuts) that you might remmember; Flashback (Amiga), Gran Turismo 2/3/4 (PS1 & 2), Geoff Crammond Grand Prix (Amiga), Wipeout (PS), Tomb Raider II (PS), Seni World Of Soccer (Amiga), Lemmings (Amiga), Virtua Racer (Arcade), TFX (PC), X-Wing/ Tie-Fighter/ X-Wing Alliance (PC), C&C (PC), ConterStrike (PC), Xenon 2 Megablast (Amiga)...

EDIT: how could I miss out the GTA3's bangheadhehe
