Got it, played it to death in the first week but still amazingly not had my first online race with it.
Thursday night I seemed to spend forever waiting to connect to a game and when I eventually did the session was under way.
More than happy to try again. Tho possibly a bit busy for next week or so.

added you both
i think it works better if you have a couple of friends online and set-up a lobby with them or join their's
if you just click on "quick match" it seems to take ages to pair you up with others!!!
hence ive asked here for other PGR4 players

good racing with you last night nessiemac

I'm enjoying it, I reckon it complements Forza nicely. Much better sense of speed and drama
Same woes with the matchmaking for me, wait aages then when you do get a race it's underway and lap one of seven or something. When you can only grab an hour or so here and there to spend 25 min of it waiting for a menu to refresh is frustrating
Well up for a game

Must say that I'm edging closer to getting this...... looks great.
if you enjoyed PGR3 you will love PGR4its fun...its not a simulator like Forza2
but it does look and play VERY well
i do like forza2 but the whole set-up thing is a pain in the arse when you just want to have a laugh ,rather than faff around because your tyres are overheating and messing about with susp only to make it worse!!!!
screw that!!! if i want a simulator i'll do a trackday

I loved PGR3 and was really looking forward to 4 but was immensely disappointed
The handling on 3 was a perfect balance of arcade fun while feeling right. 4's handling model is a total step backwards for me. Graphically superb and the audio is fantastic, but if it doesn't play right that's a complete waste.
Fingers crossed PGR5 sorts it out.
Just my opinion of course and bare in mind I also found Halo 3 utterly average, so I must be odd

I think Halo3's online games are great. Just found out that you can see your stats online and even break down how you shot people and where!!!
I'm buying it this weekend probably...i loved PGR3 because it was such a pick up and play game that looked utterly gorgeous and the same goes for PGR4.
What are the controls like for the motorcycles? are they crap? as i find most games with motorcycles struggle with the physics and controls of them.
I haven't played the demo on XBOX live yet though (membership ran out)

I hate motorbikes in games - I just can't get on with the first person view when you're leaning and cornering - but the controls in PGR4 are reasonably good. I find I have to play it in third person view with bikes (as opposed to bonnet view, or occasionally cockpit view with cars) though. Lurking Lawyer said:
