Pretty good, its exceptionally smooth, no teleporting, heaviness, or the usual weird side effects of lag. Weapons do a near realistic amount of damage against other online players, usually you can kill with 1 or 2 bullets to the upper body, i noticed in deathmatch both teams would keep a large distance and snipe using assault rifles, i think the accuracy of some of the weapons need turning down. Not tried all the maps yet though, and haven't had the chance to try vehicles.

I suspect halo 3 has more life in its multiplayer mode.

Just got this today and have to agree, it's excellent.

I am stuck though, how do I get the air strike to take out the big house? My commanding officer keeps telling me to highlight the target. But I can't find anything to do it with?
Maybe i'm just having a blonde moment? biggrin

its bloody amazing.

Single player is just so frantic with some spectacular set pieces.
Multiplayer is well balanced, weapons feel great and teamwork really pays off.
Better than halo? its says its a different feel, but just as good.
when the 360 first came out with games like perfect dark, Kameo etc, I never thought it would run anything like this smoothly and with so many brilliant effects.

Death from above is awesome!
Havn't tried the multyplayer yet but the single player mode is realy fast paced. Funny, i miss being able to stick to the walls and look round corners.
Graphics and story line 9/10
playability 8/10

was not sure which one to get for, 360 or PS3 and as I have been using the 360 more I went for that.

I did that last night and was amazed at the realism of it all. The lighting and rendering is staggeringly good compared even to some of the most recent games. The game play doesn't suffer for it either as with some other games. The constant commentary becomes almost like a voice in your head and it's easy to get realy immersed without realising it.
One bonus is that the frame rate is good which doesn't leave you with your eyes bobbing around all over the place when you switch it off to go to bed ( i forget the technical term ).
The story is rather hurried though without the time to snoop around doing your own thing when you feel like it.
In short, the whole game is adrenalin filled. Rather like slmming 5 or 6 vodka and redbulls.

And?...
Shouldn't that be for the mods to clean up?
God i hate it when people squirt out 'REPOST' through a squinty eyed vinegar stroke with no actual constuctive critism.

Not really the job for the mods. The OP should have gone back one page and found the original thread. Or done a search.

Must have played multiplayer for about 6-7 hours this weekend, awesome game, seems there is a pokemon "gotta-catch-em-all" effect were you unlock weapon mods and challenges, very addictive. I'm finding online play a lot less fustrating than Halo 3.

Might seem like a stupid question, but I can't seem to find definitive info on this anywhere I look online, understandably there's a lot of fuss about COD4 online, but does it have all the features for offline multiplayer too???

Online is all fine and well but I want a game I can play against my mates when we're all round the telly with a few beers. The fact that motorstorm only had online multiplayer pissed me right off.. What happened to the lost art of pummeling your mates with a control pad instead of hurling verbal abuse at some 12 year old in texas???

How linear is the game?

I never got on with COD3 - I can see the attraction as it had an amazing atmosphere, weapons and graphics but I found it boring and unchallenging. Very "do this, then follow this path, shoot this man" etc etc. Almost like you were playing in a movie with lots going on around you but most of that was either for effect and had no direct influence on your actual game or was so "set up" that it offered no replayablility.

Anyone else agree? How does COD4 compare?
