Assasins Creed - what platform?

Being in the fortunate position of having both an XBox 360 and a PS3 - what platform would you suggest to get Assasins Creed on?

Seems to be swings and roundabouts really, both versions have better graphics in certain areas, XBox lighting is supposed to be better, PS3 is sharper in certain cases and there are reports that the 360 runs smoother, but just as many other reports saying the PS3 version is smoother.

360 has Achievements if you're into that, but I'd just get whichever version you can find that's the cheapest.

Playing it on the PS3 whilst legging for ages it over rooftops in some areas i have noticed a bit of slowdown, but that went away when i stopped and started again. that's the only grumble i have with the PS3 version, and even then it doesn't bother me as the rest of the game is so good.

haven't played it on the 360 so can't comment, i imagine both are spectacularly similar (minus achievements).

Did we watch the same video !?? PS3 is much cleaner, smoother and more realistic... Personally i love my 360 but real think PS3 is starting to over take it....

Call my a cynic, but these comparison videos don't seem to be very scientific and inevitably, a 360 biaised forum will post something that has a washed out PS3 vid and vice versa?

I did find a site that had side by side stills which made the textures look slightly crisper on the 360 - but again, easy enough to doctor an image.

I think I'll just do what Steve said and buy the cheapest version

This game is a like a stunning looking woman with no brains.

You can play with it and have a blast for week or so but it soon gets boring.
