Forza 2 next car and track pack out on the 12th.
Discussion
No info on what track it is but there are 11 cars in the car pack including several high end exotics and at least one absolute classic that will be worth the download...

Can you guess what it is?
The total cost for both packs is 500live points (400 for the cars and 100 for the track).
More info here

Ah but you said for the track
I'll take off my pedantic hat now
I personally don't mind paying it, fiver for a track and 11 new cars seems fine to me, considering the cost of some of the car packs on old PGR3 it's relatively good value.
It's costing them to code the new tracks and cars, so it's hardly fair to expect them for nothing

They'll be paid by the producer though. They must have shedloads of cash. Greedy bitches.
But come on Rob, do you really expect them to give away new content?Let's remind ourselves that they don't have to anything more to the game. It shipped, we bought it, job done. Besides nowhere does it say you have to download it. But moaning that it isnt free is just stupid. That's like saying you want Forza 3 for free, after all, they already have more money than you

I seem to remember the same discussion last time they spent time ( and money) developing DLC content.

Its not like saying I want Forza 3 for free for all, its an extra track, which they said there would be more of anyway. They must have gotten millions of dollars from all the sales around the world.
Your on a wind up arn't you mate? Or do you seriously think they should be working for free?Polarbert said:

You know, I think we all get the fact that you hate Forza and love PGR4 now. You could stop trolling every Forza thread.Dr JonboyG said:

Most people will have paid the best part of £40 for the game, unless there is a substantial package in addition things should be free.
I don't see why everyone has a problem with my opinion.

Why not open it up for 3rd party developers?
New cars, tracks, Halo 3 maps etc etc
Plenty of people out there who would do it for the passion alone, works great on games like rFactor. Up to the developer if they want to charge or make it free.
I know it could be overkill but some good PC games simply rank the add-ons in order of number of downloads, that way the good/popular ones are easy to spot.
Just my 2p worth....

If the content is genuinely new, then fair enough charge for it.
If the content was removed from the original game in order to hit deadlines (as has been rumoured with some stuff in Forza 2)...
But even that arguement is totally mute. If the content was removed "to hit deadlines" then that means the content wasn't finished. Which in turn means they had to spend time finishing it... and spending time costs money... see where this is going...If the content was removed from the original game in order to hit deadlines (as has been rumoured with some stuff in Forza 2)...
Fact of the matter is that all the DLC they have been working on is new (Turn10 have stated as such). Any tracks or cars hinted** at still have to be programmed, tested, and then varified by the xbox live team before release. All this costs money.
Would I like it for free? Of course. However, I live in the real world and understand that it isn't going to happen. I don't expect the employees of Turn10 to work for free just to satisfy the whishes of some 12yr old fan boys screaming for everything free on fan forums all over the net. Very surprised there are hints of that here on a more adult site.
Still, my opinion an all that...
**I use that term properly, they didn't promise anything, in fact most of the "promised content" rumours I seen bandied about came from fan sites.. .not Turn10! They did not release any content lists prior to sign off, and everything that was in the final official list did make the "gold" disc. Any "rumours" about what (fans think) should have been in the game are just that, fan rumours.
