Ace combat 6 vs Over-g

How do these two compare, I enjoyed Over-g despite the horrible reviews, nothing as cool as a jet fighter and it felt quite simmy.
Is Ace combat a more arcady game? not sure if the planes were a bit too responsive in the demo, anyone played both?

I also enjoyed Over-G but only on the hard settings. The problem with OG was that it was too simmy for Joe Public. I enjoyed having to come back to base and rearm after expending my ordanance. The flight model on over G was OK and the realistic ordanance was refreshing.

The reviews of Ace Combat that I've read all say it's great, nothing like Over-G. Each aircraft has 2000000 missiles, bombs or rockets.

It's just an arcade game with planes. Of no interest to us sim types i'm afraid ....

It's a shame OG got such a terrible response, it's probably killed any chance of a sequel.

As far as I can tell you don't even take off and land in the game?

Good question. I saw that months ago and wondered if it was going to have decent sim type options if the plaayer wanted.

That looks almost identical to my old Saitek rig. Like you say it's a bit of overkill having a HOTAS setup if you cant even take off in the game !!

I also heard that the joystick would not be available in Europe ?

I'll do some diging around.

OK an update on this in case anyone is interested. Picked this game up a few days ago and have not been able to put it down. It's a good blast and the graphics are something to behold !
