Hi,
Our lad was given a wii by his nan for xmas, now we are about as game orientated as a fridge, so we are lost lol
its set up, and works fine, but my thoughts after reading the book are we should be able to play online games free? and also browse the net ?
its not hugely important but would be nice to know how i can view tinternet on it lol
i have set up the wireless connection, and managed to buy an online game (which we cant use till we by another controller, nice one nintendo)
how do we get online and use messages etc?
oh, and does everyone's arm hurt he day after lol

Depends on what you want to do...
There is the shopping channel - which you should be able to purchase items from Nintendo, such as VC games.. The Browser (Opera) now costs 500 Wii Points, IIRC.. So you'd need to spend a little to be able to use it. There are some freebie bits here and there (check www.pimpmywii.co.uk for more Wii info - esp. on the forums).
I'd suggest registering your Wii online, on the nintendo of europe site, this way you'll get Nintendo Stars - these can be converted to Wii Points.. At only 4:1 though
But it would allow you to purchase the Browser or maybe a VC game (NES, SNES, NEO GEO etc..)
There are some freebie demos on there as well.
Wii Points can be purchased online or from retailers.
HTH!

I have Wii questions too:
my Carphone Warehouse freebie Wii arrived yesterday and now I need to know what games are worth springing for.
The whole idea of the Wii for us is that we can play on it together - my Xbox was a pretty solitary affair because Mrs Bluebus had no real interest in FPS or driving games.
We love the Wii Sports. And I've always been keen on Mario games since my old SNES days, so Mario Galaxy looks a cert. But what games are best for multiplayer, 2-up?
And what about online gaming? Our Wii is on a wireless broadband network.
And are there any "grown up" games for just me? Medal of Honour any cop?
