Just spotted this, anyone else seen it?

Is this the next level of realism or is it a step too far?

I doubt it, unless the game has been specifically programmed with these sorts of peripherals in mind you'll just get a load of vibration where you'd normally get it from a pad, I'd liken it to strapping six xbox controllers to your arms and torso.

They don't vibrate, it works as a electic muscle stimulator, line the slendertone type excersise machines.

So if you're playing a boxing game, you'd have to have two on your head, two on each arm, two on your chest, two on your stomach, two on your neck and two on each side of your abdomen to replicate the punches you could receive.

Not only that, but I'm sure the current boxing games only vary the intensity of the rumble/force feedback rather than splitting it into 8 channels.

If the pads get small enough, wireless, and the games are written specifically for it, then it might work - but not yet.

Might be good for quiz games (massage when correct, sharp jolt when wrong), or FPS games where you'd only need to feel a dull throb for a minor injury, or a sharp jolt for a critical one.

I thought it looked good, should give you a good arm vibe if you hit the rumble strips!
