Just (re)-bought an N64....

Boy oh boy is it fun!!!
Played about 4 hours of King of the Hill Perfect Dark with my housemate yesterday.
That and the Wii (plus my gaming PC when she lives again
) are all the gaming I need.
So much more fun than shoot 'em up's on any console!
Anyhoo going through Goldeneye on Secret Agent now, so must dash

My N64 is dig out on a regular basis. Golden Eye is such a good game and all these years on I still do not get bored of it. The multi player (on condition you have peers of equal ability) is a huge amount of fun, after all these years I find it harder and harder to find people who have a decent level of skill on this game.
I suppose I should get off the N64 and work harder on the 360 as I am shocking on COD4 compared to most of you lot

Sorry for hi-jacking, but which Neo Geo have you got? I've been looking at these for a bit and would appreciate any info.. Esp. if it's on the AES systems.. There seems to be a lot of info. around and stuff posted about serial numbers, etc...

I've still got my N64 - haven't dug it out in some time, but it's silica gel packed away, so should be safe Although as I've now got a Wii have forked out a few quid for some VC games

Goldeneye or Parfect Dark & I'm NO1, I've not encountered anyone who can consistently beat me. There's an emulated version on the PC on-line of it which is very good for retro gaming. My 64 is gathering dust since the purchase of my 360.I suppose I should get off the N64 and work harder on the 360 as I am shocking on COD4 compared to most of you lot
goldeneye was brilliant - i imagine my skills have deteriated a little over the years but i did manage to finsih the facility level in under about 2 min 40 sec to get the special unlockable thing on that level. God it was hard.

I had Mario Kart... Hadn't ever played Golden Eye.. Whilst sharing a flat in Brussels a few years ago someone brought Golden Eye over... After soundly thrashing allcomers on Mario Kart then played Golden Eye and thrashed them on that as well!!! Even when they all ganged up on me!!! tee hee!! It was one of those comedy moments. Still enjoy Time Splitters as well

Hmm I'm tempted to fire up Zelda later although that could be a tad dangerous as the hours seem to disappear when I do.

Still got my N64, fav games are Goldeneye, Zelda, Mario64.
Still playing on my SNES too. NBA Jam is still such brilliant game play. So simple yet so much fun.
Enjoying Earthworm Jim again at the moment!

AES (home console) games are £30-800 a pop, MVS carts (ex-arcade) are a fraction at £20-60 each.
yes, really, some games are £800 for the home console. its crazy.
Whilst i know I'm taking my life into my own hands, I never rated Goldeneye that much. It had good aspects, but overall I found it incredibly frustrating to play. The fact you'd stop firing when hit and couldn't fire through dying enemies, whereas they could fire through eachother nearly caused some serious pad/screen interaction. Overall it had some good games, but not as many as the Playstation, and the chip that blurred out the edges to reduce pixalation (anit anilising?) just made it look as if you TV was faulty
I'm one of those people who thinks that past games should be left there. Anytime I fire up an old classic it just makes me realise how far things have moved on and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, as yet another game I still love in my head is transformed into something I tire of within minutes.
