hi, i have my xbox on line now and joined live but dont know how to connect to meet / play other users? how do you do this? my game tag is jq74

i looked but i kind thought that there would be a list of people online that you can contact, i just havent wored out how to use it all properly yet.

on halo3 i cant get past the 1st stage! how do you know where to go as i end just wondering round the forest not knowing where i am going or how to move to the next level!!!

would like to be able to join in your races on forza or halo3 if you have evening games.

Step1 go to www.xbox.com and sign in using the hotmail/passport account associated with your gamertag (this is you here - http://live.xbox.com/en-GB/profile/profile.aspx?pp... ), then select "view friends" on the top rh side dropdown menu

Step 2 Copy the tags of people you know/randomly from the big list (PH name/Gamertag) of gamertags (posted below 'cos people are too dumb to add their name to the end of the list and the thread is deteriorating into a mess)

Step 3 paste each tag into the "enter gamertag below" box

Step 4 wait for people to accept your friend request.

You now have friends on XBL
