Playstation 3 Eye (Webcam/MIC)

I think play.com have them in stock for £24.99.

I have been told the PS2 version or a normal webcam will work but don't know how true this is.

I tried my cheapo webcam and it didnt even pick it up Maybe a logictech branded one might work? I get the impression the sony one is in a different league though in terms of clarity in low light and sound/voice pickup from a distance.

Play.com and every other online shop are all out of stock - however the cameras are bundled in with a game for £50 so i sense a ploy here to fork out for the more expensive game just to get a camera!!

I will get the official one purely for a hassle free life anyway
