Does it not depend on the domain you play in (Pro / Recreational / Underground).

I'm in underground and motto includes "boocks", and profanities are often spoken amongst gamers.

Sure I remember browsing the terms for each of the domain and underground stated something along the lines of, "Anything Goes" (I may be mistaken!).

I have 'Pure Pish' as my motto, and im on recreational.

It helps that its scottish slang, and everyone knows scotchland's part of england anyway. And I DO know Jimmy.

So let me get this straight - you're complaining because you got banned for breaking what you knew to be the T&Cs?

Microsoft's webchat software used to - I've no idea whether it still does, we're talking something I used for about half an hour ten years ago - anyway, their web chat software used to consider "Alt-F4" to be swearing.

And you'd get kicked from the channel if you tried typing it!

never hurts to read the EULA that most people scroll down to the bottom without reading

get the occasional ban for swearing on christian servers that play on by mistake, seems the autoban cussers as they put it smile

maybe google for your intended username just in case smile
