You don't. It can't. The XBox 360 supports hi-def, the original XBox doesn't.

It does output hidef - you'll only get the option to do so if you set it to widescreen NTSC. Or there's an option in XBMC.

Yikes. I'll have to investigate the one downstairs a little further.

I think there is a mod or maybe an official cable to output VGA. Which is pretty much high-def.

I run XBMC on 720p connected to the TV via component - it struggles occasionally at 1080.

The connection boxes are on Ebay for around a tenner.
