Hey Guys,

Bit of a problem, just after you shoot the guy in the head and repel down the wall, loads of guys come out and start shooting and im meant to run to extraction whilst shooting at them which on veteran is impossible. Anyone got past this using any methods?

Head over to the far right, past the buses all the time heading for the extraction point, throw a couple of flashbangs just before you round the bus and break for the open ground, then keep running towards the building without stopping to shoot anyone.

If you think this is tough, just wait for the end of the level.

Just wait till you get to the corridor running in No Fighting In The War Room episode on Veteran, I got to it about a week ago now and still haven't got through the final stages of it - I've been at the stairwell down to the next level - I can get 2/3rds of the way to the slow opening door before dying (many many many times)...driving me nuts...I kick off the stairwell with 7min 4secs left too, so timewise I can take it fairly relaxed (well not as relaxed as I would like to)...and the autosave side of things just doesn't want to make life easier for me by saving half way between the stairs and war room either - bugger!!!

Driving me a little nuts to say the least - so much so that I normally try it 2-3 times each evening and then go online for the rest of the night, otherwise I'd just go flippin' nuts laugh

The end of the level is an absolute piece of pee, easiest part of all vereran levels I have done so far !!

Before you put the bloke down, get your back to the Ferris Wheel and look South East(ish). There is a gap in the fence, where you can walk down between 2 blocks of flats, this is where you need to head after putting him down.

Put the bloke down, and on your way to the spot, lay c4 by the cars you pass, then some just in front of the white picket fence by the gap, then some behind the fence. Go down the alley and on the left, before you reach the end, the wall cuts in a bit. This is the spot !!

Set a couple of claymores in case any enemies come (I only had one), get your back in the corner and wait. When the chopper lands, blow your c4, run to the bloke laying down, pick him up, jump in the chopper. The most enemies I had to fight whilst waiting for the chopper was 1 !! A bit of a flash and dash may be needed when running to pick the dude back up.

Look it up on YouTube to see it properly. Honestly, it's one of the easiest ones to do.

Edited for top tip.... If you have placed your c4 in such a way that it kills friendlies when they land, just start from the checkpoint again and blow the c4 when the chopper is 50m away (it lands at 40m).

Yeah I did that method, all very well if you know that beforehand, but if you try and do it in the way that would seem obvious you're going to be in for a world of hurt and frustration.

You get some gamerpoints for banging your head against the wall in this respect.

It's relatively straightforward IF you approach it the right way. As Steve says, the "right" way is far from the most obvious and most people will only happen on it as a process of trial and error, after a LOT of getting killed, or because they've looked at a walkthrough.

I managed to complete it quite quickly once I'd figured out the "right" way to do it, but spent hours and hours on it before that trying various different ways before having the idea to try it the way you suggested.

I'm stuck again towards the start of the level where you have to infiltrate the ICBM silos, where you have to put C4 onto the BMP. I know what I need to do and how I need to do it - I just can't string it all together in one go. Doh! Not looking forward to Fighting in the War Room at all. And I don't think I'll even both trying Mile High Club on veteran....
