Problems with Xbox 360 MS Steering Wheel

Hello,
New to the forum, and need some help.
Have had a Microsoft steering wheel for a while now and use it exclusively for Forza2. Its gone a bit crazy though. When you start a race it steers either full lock to the right or full lock to the left, and doesn't settle in the middle. It only takes a small amount of angle to get it to do this.
Has anyone else ever had this problem, and if so is there a cure... or is it terminal??

I dont have one but that sounds like a calibration issue, can you calibrate it or not. If not its ed
