I've been editing a shot of a Chiffchaff I got yesterday - it's nothing special as the bird was high in a tree and slightly too far away (the usual story). I did my best in Photoshop with the result as below:

Just for fun I loaded it to ChatGPT with the prompt 'Increase the resolution and improve the feather detail on the bird' - it produced the below... it's a completely different bird!roflroflrofl It looks like a willow warbler to me banghead Anyway - I'm out.

You can get similar results using your android phone. The 4k upscaling (which uses Ai (sic) is just brilliant too - I've used it on some shots I took on a cheap 2 mp camera (an A405 Fujifilm) and some slides which I digitised. Simply mind blowing - and far better than I can get with DXO photolab (which does a brilliant job on raw images, but is far less impressive with jpegs)

Out of interest I upscaled the image on my phone. It's debatable which is better - but the results are actually quite a bit different.

Interesting - at least it hasn't fundamentally changed the image!
