Gave myself a challenge to shoot just film at the Revival to get in the spirit. So far I've just had my colour 35mm back which I shot on an old Canon EOS with expired Jesspos diamond 200. Still to come B&W and medium format I shot on a Rolliecord. Here's a few I like, will be adding to the full set here...

Really like these. I appreciate you can probably get the same 'effect' on digital, through a Lightroom preset, but it's the process of shooting an event like the Revival on a film camera that adds a certain "something".......and not knowing how the shots are going to turn out.....

I did something similar quite a few years ago - shot the Revival on B&W film, using a Leica M3 that was a 40th birthday present from my family....

Expired film always a gamble but those came out really well. Looking forward the rest.

Thank you. Loving the Leica shots, very cool indeed.

You can, but I'd say this is the one thing, even with Ai assist, that digital systems fail to deliver on particularly well. Looking at the OP's images, I don't think it possible to get close to the authenticity that comes through.

Yes, I've been trying to fake the film look for years with digital, but you really can't beat doing it for real.

Excellant, that period authenticity can only be captured on film.

I'm no photography expert, but my gosh I enjoyed flicking through your work.
The picture that was taken on the 70 year old camera blew my mind.
