quite pleased with the way these came out. most of my pics are wasted from this shoot due to a smear on the lens I never noticed

I was using two flashes set off with the ST-E2

I like the first and the last one a lot - nice use of lighting.

I like the 1st shot, 2 and 3 don't really show the car at it's best.

The first one is great, the other two look almost CGI, the badge looks too clear and perfect. Not a bad thing just unusual?

You didn't (apart from the lighting) do anything special to get the final effect did you?

(I mean I can see you moved towards an overall blue white balance, which I think is excellent mood for the subject....)

yeah change white balance, removed some flash artifacts and darkend the background. nothing much realy

Ah! But "nothing much" can make all the difference! Nice work!

I'm just putting a calendar together, and it's some of the simple images with "nothing much" done that are going to look best!

Off topic slightly, but is that a standard front Honda badge for the Type R? I thought all Civics just has cut out silver H's rather than red backgrounds?

Only the Type R variant has the red emblem.

I much prefered the red H on my older civic R, the one in that picture looks like a comic relief nose!
