A fellow modeller sent me this link:

www.smartgroups.com/pictures/openalbum.cfm?GID=414562&AlbumID=5715769

You can buy photos from the site....

Has anyone come across this method before? Don't know if you can set your own prices though.

Yup it's using Photobox Printbutton which used to cost about £200 upfront but can't find any mention of upfront charges on the site www.printbutton.com/ but it does now say

PrintButton is only available to established image businesses who meet the following criteria:

* An existing online image website
* Company turnover in excess of £100K (€150K) per year
* VAT registered

Wow, so they couldn't make it add up even at £200; they need a lot of usage as well...?

Yeah - steep.

Which is why rex and I use theimagefile.com to run our company website (www.matabooboo.com). They use printbutton.

My major complaint with printbutton (with no proposed fix date) is that they don't provide the cool self-cropping when ordering tools that you can get on photobox direct. It either does an arbitrary crop or shrink-to-fit. Hence rex and I spend a fair amount of time uploading 5x7 and 10x8 crops suitable for customers to order from when they request it. We have had a couple of customers have refunds followed by a re-order due to cropping issues - VERY annoying.

Can heartily recommend theimagefile though, great site, very easy and good customer service.
