So guys,

money no object what kit would you have?

Here is my somewhat extravagant list:

Canon 1D Mark 2 (srider I hate you)
100-400 Image Stabiliser
600mm Image Stabiliser
28-135 IS
Filters Galore (prob a cokin kit)
A herd of batteries cf cards etc.
The entire b-hague car mount catalogue.

Linhof 617s III www.robertwhite.co.uk/linhof.htm#Label617

Rolleiflex TLR
(always wanted one of them, great for portraits)

Then the photography contracts to pay it all off would be useful.

My first hate message on PH (I think)! Woo!

Hmm, money no object....

1D Mk 2
1Ds Mk 2 (when it's out)
15mm(?) fisheye
17-40L
24-70L
70-200 2.8 L IS
100-400 L
300 F2.8 IS
400 F4 DO
600 F4
180 L macro
the special Canon 5x Macro lens
MT-24EX macro flash

and to keep it retro, a Leica M7

... and an assistant to carry it all

sure I'll be adding to this later...

If I ever won the lottery, a big chunk of it would go on:

1Ds Mk II (when it's announced)
24-70mm f2.8 L
70-200mm f2.8 L
85mm f1.2 L
100mm macro
400mm f2.8 L
400mm f4 555DO (for when I can't be arsed to carry the f2.8!)
500mm f4 L
600mm f4 L
team of sherpas to help carry everything

I'm quite happy with 35mm at the moment, but if I went M/F, the following would be on my wish list!

Phase One P25 back

Most importantly though, I'd really like more spare time to a) take photos and b) scan and process them afterwards.

ETA: as money is no object, I'll add the following!

180mm L macro
macro flash
550EX flash
15mm fisheye
14mm f2.8 L
1200mm f5.6

And those Leicas have always looked fantastic, so I'd have to go for one of them as well

My wishlist:

  • Learn how to use my Canon S1- IS properly. It's far more capable than I am.

  • Find somewhere to be able to post photo's free.

  • Figure out a way of earning lots of money and still find time for motorsport and taking motorsport pics.

If I had the endless money I wouldnt need the camera, Id just buy the things* instead of taking pictures of them!

(For sunsets Id have an artist paint them for me )

*things = mostly cars!
