It’s obviously very simple; as everyone else is doing it, but I cant find how to upload a picture in a message.

Cant find instructions anywhere in FAQs or searches.

Sorry to be a complete f-wit.

Yours in grateful appreciation!

PS Supplementary question - how do you put more than one picture on your profile page?

you upload the picture somewhere (I use my own site www.stefancarlton.net as most will here but places like www.fotango are popular as well) and then post here using the [ pic] [/pic ] tag (remove the spaces from the tags there).

Quote this post to see the below image:

If you click on 'Quote' you can see the underlying text, including the full URL of where the image is.

you have a trailing space on the ending [/pic]

your next problem is that your picture isn't been supplied by Fotango. Try www.imagefort.com

make sure you don't have spaces in the line, it's a url to your picture (with http://) with [pic] and [/pic] each side.

...dont forget that sites like fotoango and photobox etc dont necessarily keep images in the same place for very long. They image names are sometimes generated dynamically and you might therefore find your posted images dissapear without apparent explanation

best to host them somewhere you can always find them (a private space or similar) for lasting posts.

it wont always be the case, just sometimes, its worth bearing in mind

Best host is imageshack.us

1MB file size limit and a copy&paste system for posting on forums with tags

Also can give a thumbnail which links to the image so that forum pages are not ed up by larger pics

Just signed up for www.imagefort.com

Very easy to use.

Now all I need to do is learn how to take better pics.
